Workshop

We would like to hold our first Introductory to Beekeeping workshop if we have enough people willing to participate.

Topics of the program will include spring & summer hive maintenance, honey collection, spring & fall feeding, winter readiness. Some good discussions and maybe even some hands-on experiences depending the time of year.   All participants will recieve a copy of the Ontario Beekeeping Manual written by the Tech Transfer Team associated with the Ontario Beekeeper's Association and the University of Guelph (valued at $40.00).

Many other areas will be covered within the workshop, i.e., signs of swarming, Queen rearing, equipment maintenance and yard set up.

Workshop will be for two days The workshop schedule begins Saturday at 10 am to 5pm.   Sunday begins at 10am to 2pm.  A light lunch will be provided.

Fee is $200/person and $100 for a second person (couples).

Are you interested in attending a workshop? If we have a keen group (up to six) ready to learn about beekeeping, then we'll arrange a weekend to run a course.
